# Installing the bot

This section of the guide will show the user how to successfully download & install OriginMint.

First, head over to the OriginMint dashboard:[ ](https://whop.com/hub/)<https://whop.com/hub/>

Press the "View license key" button and select either the Windows or Mac download, once pressed the .exe file should start downloading. (View the video below)

Once the .exe has finished downloading on your browser, click to open it.

If prompted with this message, hit "More info", then "Run anyway".

Now OriginMint should start installing on your device.

## Checking for updates

Head over to the settings tab ⚙️ on OriginMint, then located in the bottom left corner of the bot press the "Update" button, this will automatically scan for the latest update(s), then prompt to download if a new version has been released.
